Our Staff |
Ian Ian Loughrey - Gecko Travel researcher and cycling specialist. His photos are also well-prized additions to our brochure and web-site. English born Ian prefers to do his research by bike to get the yard-by-yard details and is up to some 60,000 kms in S.E.Asia. He's currently checking out accommodation and trekking routes in China's Yunnan Province for a projected new tour later on in the year where he's on a mere 30,000kms (last we heard from him).

Peter Aussie, Peter Cochrane, spent several years leading tours for Intrepid before joining Gecko Travel some 4 years ago. He now lives in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Central Thailand, and specialises in our Lao and Cambodian trips. Seen her with friend Nhien, caretaker of Angkor's Ta Prom Temple, Peter now knows just about everybody in S. E. Asia.

Helen Helen O'Hanlon swapped the rigours of her native Scottish climate for more tropical climes and has now been leading Gecko Travel trips with her perfect blend of fun and professionalism, as all her passengers will testify, for nearly 4 years. Helen is now based in her favourite S.E.Asian city Phnom Penh and specialises in Cambodian tours.

Oh Sarawut Thinpathom, (Oh's a bit easier!), returned to his homeland of Thailand after spells in amongst other places; Australia, the US and Laos, and now takes great pleasure in showing off his country to our passengers with equal amounts of enthusiasm and knowledge. Seem here preparing for a trek in Thung Yai Wildlife Sanctuary on the Thai/Burmese border.

Nui Despite living in her hometown of Bangkok, Nui - our main Thailand guide - is equally at home in the forest or city; whether showing passengers around the Royal Palace or wading through streams in the heart of the jungle. Nui also specialises in leading family tours.
