Photography and Gecko Travel
A new way of viewing travel photography
....a series of original Gecko Travel photographic tours to South East Asia, combining well known sites with off-the-beaten-track secrets, lead by professional travel photographer Nathan Horton.
Aims are to encourage beginners, casual amateurs or budding pros to, not only get to know their cameras better, but to interact with their subject matter in more meaningful ways and to emphasize a style of travel photography that appreciates local people, their cultures, traditions and religions, and encourages a positive impact on the places and people it visits
“We are not looking for participants to walk around with a camera permanently stuck to their eye and/ or shove large lens in locals’ faces. Rather we will ask them to look around and understand their environment in order to make informed and selective choices about what they are really trying to achieve from their pictures” says Nathan Horton.
The exciting itineraries offer fascinating and unusual insights into the peoples, lanscapes, cultures and history of the regions visited whilst in addition Nathan will be available for continous hands-on advice and tips as well as overseeing relaxed nightly tutorials and daily photographic tasks. |
